The company is a 9 site vehicle repair group based in the South of the England. On this one site they had 5 full time employees doing a Monday to Friday 8 hour day. The client chose what they wanted on the machine based on volume of use and cost of materials. In their words:-

There haven’t been any negatives to having the system! The Hawthorn affect worked a treat.
We have experienced very minor issues –all of which have been resolved – such wanting to vend more stock at a time, we added more stock per vend – keeping the swipe cards from getting scratched so we put them on a lanyard rather than in a tool box – all resolved.
We vend a number of items all the various discs, tapes, foams, coveralls and fillers. We stopped vending one set of coveralls as they just were not being used enough and still delivered this massive saving which we have been able to improve by better product choice and a bigger machine!
We have found the machines and the data capture system to be very reliable – nothing that cannot be resolved quickly.
We proved that the saving from the machine directly correlated with drop on stock ordering and all the workers used fewer products despite increased availability.
